Okay, so I’m not going to mince words here, I’m not going to try to be politically correct. Let’s go down the line. It all started with a quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, who began to kneel during the National Anthem to protest racism. Then it went from there. First, the argument was “It’s his right to kneel during the National Anthem, it’s part of his freedoms leave him alone” etc ect. And by etc etc I mean more and more NFL players started to get involved with this protest.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Do I know there are problems in our country involving different races? Yes. Do I know these problems need to be fixed? Of course! Do I think that to do this we need world famous sports stars to start disrespecting the flag and country which people of all colors, races, and creeds bled and died to defend? NO.
Okay, now get this. An article has been written by the Huffington Post, which is titled “White Athletes Still Standing for the Anthem are Standing for White Supremacy.”
The article goes on to say that all the values, beliefs that the National Anthem upholds, at the root of it all is White Supremacy. The article directly attacks patriotism, saying that the United States has only ever been about conquest and take over, asserting our authority over others.
Now, I would want to ask the writer of this article if they have ever served their country in any way other than spewing out their divisive rhetoric, their hate speech (see I can do it too. They’re not the only ones who can ascribe these words to those against them) and bigotry, their judgment?!
Quite frankly, I’m offended.
Because of this article on the Huffington Post, now many who read it, those who have let their minds be melded and molded by the far left, they will see me, who will always stand for the National Anthem, as a hateful, white supremacist.
Where’s the fairness in that?
I’ll say it again! Are there problems in our country? Yes. Do we need to fix them? Yes. Is this the right way to go about it? By causing division, passing judgment? NO. By dishonoring those veterans who have lost limbs, who have died on the field of battle for you and me, so that we even have the freedom to go and watch these overpaid athletes protest the freedoms which give them their jobs? NO.
Hey, this is almost humorous. The all-inclusive, liberal-minded, snowflakes out there are doing to us what they say we always do to them! Judge and label!
In all seriousness though, this is getting out of hand. Look at how twisted this has become? If you stand during the National Anthem, which by the way is always a social requirement when it’s being sung or played, you are now a ‘White Supremacist’...
What’s next? Are they going to just pull the Anthem from public view because it’s causing too much ‘Division’!?
Pray people, seriously pray. This madness is only increasing with every passing day, and I guarantee you that with the upcoming football games this week things will only continue to unfold for the worse. Something like this doesn’t just go away. A line has been crossed here, and the sides are now obvious as ever.
When the people of a nation are not even allowed to stand for their National Anthem, the song of their people, without being called Racist, Supremacists, bigots, hateful, you know that once great nation is nearing its last leg.
Go buy your guns and ammo my friends, and be prepared to protect yourself if you have too, the enemy from within just hoisted their true colors, and I’m only half joking. Well at least about the guns and ammo part.
I’m angry, to be completely honest. I know people, I have friends, I’ve had family, all who have served our country in the military, who have risked their lives, who have sacrificed in ways the rest of us didn’t even know was possible. I’m saluting them and all the other heroes who have fought and died for me, as well as for the ideals and freedoms our great nation affords us.
This is why I stand.
I do not stand for what is wrong with our country, I stand for what is right. I stand for the hope that through the unity we all have, for the love we all have for our country, that it will bind us together, those of every race, color, religion. That it will bind us so we may take on the problems together from a united front.
This is why I stand. I do not stand for myself. I stand for those who have gone to die for me so that I may live!
God bless you all. Zac.
