Focus on the now, the present, on how you can become better today.
We, humans, are easily distracted, God knows this, He created us, which is why an act of the will comes into play. We must choose to be God's own, nothing else can choose for us.
When we let ourselves become bogged down with the stress of our lives we often forget to take a step back and listen to Jesus words. “Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Now it's easy, I know at least for me, to read something like this then let it roll right out of my mind the second I'm done. But this time, let's really try to take these words to heart, let's trust our Lord Jesus when He says these words. Because He really did. Think about that moment for a second. Jesus Christ, in the flesh, spoke those words.
So what do we do today? Well, here is what I'm going to do today, and then you can take from it, or use it to get more ideas of your own.
1) I am going to pray my daily Rosary
2) I am going to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
So what are you going to do today?
God bless you all. Zac.
