When someone is entrusted into our care, we don’t only have the obligation to look out for them, care for them, protect them, from a physical, practical, common sense point of view. We have the spiritual obligation as well.
When God gives us something, something that is His and still always will be, yet we are to be stewards of this gift He has given us, we are to care for it, and care for it well.
This is why it is important to be physically ready to defend those in our care. Because it is spiritually important.
This is why we as Christians must now think of how we are to defend ourselves from attack. Last Sunday has shown us that our Churches are not safe places where the bad guys will leave us alone.
Contact your parish priest, ask him if there is any plan in place if there is an attack on your church if there isn’t then put one in place. Get something together, get the Knights of Columbus involved. We must change our way of thinking.
If even talk about something like this happening scares us, then how on earth are we supposed to be able to respond if something does happen?
We must toughen up, we must change the mindset, think of bad situations and how we are to take care of those entrusted to us by God. Because it is a spiritual obligation to be able to take care of them, in all ways.
God bless. Zac.
