Today I just want to pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in this attack, and remind people to pray for the souls of those who still may yet be being cleansed in Purgatory.
This is a good day to reflect on what is considered by far to be the worst war in history, and to pray that we as a people will never have to go through, or experience something so devastating as another world war. Or any war.
Many people disconnect themselves from things like this because they think it was before their time, and they don’t need to worry about it anymore. That is not the case. Men and women fought and died for the freedom we celebrate today, and shame on us if we ever forget them for what they did, what they sacrificed to preserve.
We as a people cannot grow lax, or comfortable in our freedoms, because they came at a price, and still come at a price. They are not infinite, and can be taken away if we allow them to be.
We would be dishonoring those who died if we gave them away after what they did to preserve them. We must remember that.
So today, remember those who died for you and the freedoms you celebrate today. Remember those who fought and died to protect our country, and the world, from evil. Remember and honor their memory today.
God Bless you. Zac.
