Preparedness is a moral requirement with fr. altman

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

CCC Paragraph 2265:

“Legitimate self-defense can not only be a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm.”

“Shouldn’t we be prepared to defend?”

This was Fr. James Altman's question in his latest interview with Battle Ready.

He followed with: “We have a moral obligation to defend. And that means being able to defend from bad guys.”

If you haven’t watched this interview yet, I would strongly encourage you to check it out.

Fr. Altman’s voice during this crazy time is one we can trust. And he is trying to warn us of what could possibly be looming on the horizon.

You’ve all seen how crazy things have become. You’ve seen the riots and the protests. It’s easy to say, “No, that will never happen,” or “Things aren’t that bad.” True, maybe things aren’t bad enough for the “end of the world,” as some would say. But they say that do dismiss it because they’re afraid of it happening. And yeah, it might not be the end of the world, could be the end of your world as you know it.

Which is why you should prepare. And not only for yourself but for your loved ones too. For your family, and friends. For those God has entrusted to your care.

When you are entrusted to protect someone, like your family, you must do so spiritually, yes, but you also are entrusted to protect them physically.

Again, if you haven’t watched the interview yet, check it out HERE

God bless and strengthen you. We’ll talk again soon!
