It struck me how small we are.
As I was staring out I realized that from an outward point of view human beings aren’t the most impressive objects in the universe. Yet who did God die for? He didn’t die for the sun, the stars, the planets, no He died for you and me.
What makes us human beings so special? Why is our value counted above the great phenomenons of the universe? Why does God love us so much? What makes us humans worth it?
Do you want the simple answer? God created us in His image, He has endowed us with free will, the choice to love or reject Him, He has placed an immortal soul within each and every one of us which He desires to dwell eternally with Him in heaven. Why???
Because He loves us more than the universe.
We who are so small, we who could be wiped out an instant by the power of the sun, we are held closer to God’s heart than any other of His creation. We are made in the image and likeness of God, not the moon, the stars, the comets.
Our worth is not measured on our success here on earth, how much money we have, who we know, how many Facebook friends we have how many likes we get on a post, how many re-tweets.
The devil uses these things to distract us, to make us feel unworthy, to make us forget that we don’t need any one thing to tell us our worth. Just look at your creator and everything else He made, then look at who He came down to earth for, look at who He became man for, look at who He died for.
Our worth is not counted for among men, but in who our creator is.
So many things are trying to take the place in our hearts which is reserved for this creator, and no matter how much success it seems to have on many, it’s all a lie. Because nothing can truly take the place of God in our lives.
Those who don’t have God in their lives are constantly searching, constantly on edge, never really satisfied. They have a hunger that they are unable to fill within the world. And they will never be able to fill it, because that place which seems untouchable for them, that place within which they can never reach, the deepest, closest place to their heart is God’s place.
Nothing can take the place of God. Nothing. Our very identity is not found in the physical, but in the spiritual, the mystical, the all knowing, ever present, awe inspiring love of God.
And no matter what, no matter who, no matter how, that love is always there for us. God is always there.
God bless you all, stay strong! Keep the faith! Talk to you soon! Zac.
