I can say this book changed my life. It is a 33 day guide to the Marian Consecration, and it is powerful! If you have not consecrated yourself to Jesus, through Mary, I would highly recommend this book!
So, as I said, this will be the content we will be delving a little deeper into. Here we go.
Within “33 Days to Morning Glory” key saints who had an intense devotion to Mary are talked about, one of which is the great St. Maximilian Kolbe. It is written that a fellow student said that Kolbe has this great desire to live in accordance with a “Great Idea” and “to consecrate his entire life to a great idea.”
This saint, Maximilian Kolbe, who was killed in a concentration camp in WWII, chose the Blessed Mother to be that “Great Idea” to live for. Something to devote himself to, to strive for, and to becoming better in.
There is something we can learn from here. Do we have our own “Great Idea” to live for? Are we mindless in life, going from day to day with no conviction? Kolbe tells us otherwise with the testimony of his life.
I won’t go on telling you all there is to say about Kolbe because there is no way I can do it justice as “33 Days to Morning Glory” does. I highly encourage you to read this book!
So what’s the takeaway for today? What is our “Great Idea”? Do we have one? Should we have one? How can we conquer the world for God with our “Great Idea”?
We are called to be a light to the world, but everyone’s light is different, for a different purpose. What’s your purpose?
God bless. Zac.
