Pick one thing to work on. Pick one devotion to do. Keep it simple, don’t bog yourself down with too many commitments which you’ll tire of quickly. Keep it small at the beginning of Lent, then slowly increase your prayer and sacrifice as Lent goes on.
God doesn’t want us burning out. We need to be smart about how we go about prayer and sacrifice, pushing ourselves, but without being foolish. Making extravagant promises we know we’ll never be able to keep up is setting ourselves up for failure, which defeats the purpose.
So, let’s be smart about this, but strong. Keep the faith, fight the good fight!
God bless. Zac.
