It’s amazing to think about, to really contemplate. This soul we have is immortal. It will spend eternity either in heaven or hell. Our true identity is found within our souls. When we die our bodies will pass away but our souls will remain until the resurrection of our bodies at the end of time, then and only then will our souls and bodies be together again, glorified in heaven for all eternity with God... Wow!
As human beings, we don’t take enough time to think, and I mean really think about things like this. And often times, if we do, it’s rushed, not heartfelt, and we end up boring ourselves with one of the greatest gifts God has given us.
The soul is the most important aspect of our humanity, because, although it is a spiritual element within us, it has everything to do with where we go when we die. Contrary to popular millennial belief the soul is not controlled by our ‘relative’ truths, but only by God’s truth.
It is the spiritual element within us, impacting more than anything else, our physical existence, making the undeniable search, that yearning for God, so prominent in our lives. It’s one of the backbones of our existence. Because regardless of what you believe, without God in our lives we are empty, left searching for something to fill that void, trying to find meaning in the finite instead of resting in the infinite, we are left wandering aimlessly through the battlefield which is life without a guide.
The soul is our link to God. Have we really thought about that? Today take the time to do so. Our souls are the spiritual identity within us. We have been entrusted with something immortal which resides within us. If we don’t all take the time to contemplate this extraordinary responsibility, then we are making a mistake.
Talk to you all soon.
God bless. Zac.
