Often we forget that our choices, although knowing they affect our souls in a positive or negative way, also affect Jesus’ heart. He loves us more than anything, and when we choose things other than Him, it hurts Him.
We need to stop thinking of Jesus as this scary, angry God who will cast us into hell on a whim. We’re actually the one who does that by our whimsical choices. No, Jesus loves with His whole Sacred Heart, and thus when we turn away we hurt that heart, that love.
Think of the Agony in the Garden, the night before Jesus’ brutal death on the cross. Jesus was sweating blood, and agonizing, seeing all of the sins of the world, all of the times we human beings would turn away from Him and His Father.
“Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary. Help me be the one to console Jesus through Mary.”
This blog is on the Mind, so here’s what you can think about. How do we console Jesus?
What better way than to do it through Mary, the one creature whom He raised higher than any other, His own mother.
When we go to Mary, we give Jesus such joy! She was giving to us, to the whole world, to be our mother too. Jesus gave us the most perfect mortal creature in existence. When we go to her we give Him honor and praise. We console Him.
If you have not yet consecrated yourself to the most perfect creature, Mary, the Blessed Mother of God, I once again urge you to do so.
God bless you all, please keep me in your prayers. Zac.
