St. Louis De Montfort is one of the greatest Marian saints, and his life and devotion are a key point of emphasis in “33 Days to Morning Glory” by Fr. Gaitley.
I like this saint for two reasons. #1 - His devotion to Mary. #2 - How he used the zeal in his temper and emotions to fuel his drive to serve Mary.
What is zeal? 'great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective'
So let me ask you this. How are you using your zeal? For God, or yourself? Only we can answer that question. I know what I need to work on. You do too. We just need to take a step back and ask ourselves.
Often, what is one of our greatest crosses, with God’s help, can be transformed into something good. Because that’s what Christ does, transforms. Just look at the good He brought about from the passion of the cross.
Let God transform your zeal into a holy zeal like St. Louis De Montfort did. And if you think you need more zeal then ask Him for that too. God knows our hearts, what is He seeing?
God bless you all. Zac.
