Ohio State University was attacked by a Muslim who claimed to be peaceful in August in a newspaper interview. The man attacked using his car and a butcher knife. The suspect was killed by police, and 11 people are now in the hospital.
Okay, so, I am a 20 year old, millennial man, and I want to challenge my peers for a moment.
We MUST be able to defend the people in our care, to some degree. It is our duty as men to be able to do so. It is time to get our heads out of the fun and sports and act as men. Have some grit! Get some dirt on those perfect hands!
The same goes for me. I have to be able to defend those who I love and who I have the responsibility to protect. I have to be able to snap, in a good way, and take out the bad guy if I am with my girlfriend and a threat approaches (Oh and how I will!) it’s necessary that we as men are capable of that, because that is God’s role for us.
This is not extreme. Every woman wants to know the man they are with will go to the ends of the earth to defend them. And they should want that! So, my challenge to my peers out there is this: are you able to protect the people you love? Are you being responsible, even with your body and staying in shape for them, so that you could move to protect if you had to?
All this goes for me as well, and I don’t take myself off the challenge. I struggle and try everyday as well, but enough of the excuses. Our loved ones deserve it from us, and it is time to man up and accept the challenge!!
Signing off. God bless. Zach.
