I want to remind people of what’s happening there. So often we hear about something in the news and then forget about it. Enough of that!
Think of all the lives that are changed forever, think of those who have lost everything to the flooding. Think of their needs, their hurt. Try to put yourself in their place, think of how scared, desperate, or angry you would be.
We can all help in some way, even if it’s through your prayers. Don’t forget them.
This week we’re coming up on the kickoff of college football, and to some this is of greater importance than remembering and praying for the victims in Texas. We cannot be like that. We cannot be such an indifferent, base culture. God allows punishments for His people when we choose sin. Although there has been much good coming from the hearts of many involved with helping the people affected by this hurricane, if we as a nation do not have a conversion of the heart then we are missing the deeper importance.
Prayer and conversion, these are the answers to the bigger problems that we face. All for Jesus, all through Mary.
So this week as you prepare to watch your favorite college football team, don’t forget about the people of Texas and Louisiana. For everyone there, their worlds have changed forever. What are we going to do about it?
God bless. Zac.
